This workshop offers strategies for finding reliable sources and evaluating their credibility. We鈥檒l discuss how to assess a source鈥檚 author, publication, evidence, purpose, and relevance, as well as how to make informed decisions about which sources are appropriate to use in academic writing.听This workshop is designed especially for first-year听writing听students, but all are welcome to attend!

This workshop introduces the key components of lab reports and offers strategies for clearly presenting data and analysis. We鈥檒l discuss what instructors typically expect in each section of a lab report and share practical approaches for communicating results clearly and effectively across science courses.

Workshops are an excellent way to introduce students to specialized topics in writing and to give students a chance to practice writing skills. Workshops are provided by the director and may be co-taught by writing consultants with topic-specific training. Workshops can be held in your classroom or via Zoom or Blackboard Collaborate.
